Pete Dunbeck has been a resident of Westborough for over 40 years.  Pete has been Chair of Sustainable Westborough since 2017 and drove the effort to attain Green Community status including the adoption of the Building Stretch Energy Code.  Pete also chaired the Task Force established by the Town of Westborough to create a Climate Action Plan.  He worked with others in the town government to secure over $750K in state grants for energy efficiency improvements to municipal and school buildings which are saving the town over $91K/yr in utility bills.

Pete has a BS in Engineering from Virginia Tech and Master’s degrees from MIT in Engineering and Business.  His professional experience includes research on energy efficiency systems, engineering, and business development in high-tech and international business operations.  Pete is married and has 3 children and 6 grandchildren.  His 3 children went through Westborough Public Schools and he currently has 3 grandchildren in the schools.
