Maureen Amyot has been the Library Director at the Westborough Public Library since 2010, and has been working in the library field since 1994. She has a BA in English/Communications from St. Francis University and a Master’s in Library Science from the University of North Texas. Prior to working in Westborough, she worked for the former Central Massachusetts Regional Library System (now the Massachusetts Library System), and in public libraries from New York to Texas. She was named to the prestigious “Movers and Shakers” list by Library Journal, is a past president of the Massachusetts Library Association, recipient of the Paralibrarian Advocate of the Year award by MLA, and is a Massachusetts Certified Public Procurement Officer. Maureen also earned a certificate in Local Government Leadership and Management from Suffolk University.

Maureen has been a resident of Westborough since 2005. Her son attended Mill Pond and Gibbons Middle School and graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Westborough, the Westborough Spirit Committee, and was the founding board chair of Westborough Connects. She has served on numerous library-related committees and groups at the regional, state, and national level.
