Groove into the winter spirit with a concert by Matt York. Hear traditional songs that celebrate the holidays as well as nondenominational pieces that celebrate the season, and sing along if you’d like! The songs will run the gamut from songs that have been around for hundreds of years to more modern Christmas and holiday classics. Matt will include stories of the origins of these songs and how they have been performed over the years. Join us for this musical community event!
About the performer: Longtime New England musician Matt York, is a local musician who has performed at the Westborough Public Library previously. Concert-goers have enjoyed his renditions of songs by Johnny Cash and The Highwaymen, along with stories about these artists. He has been nominated by the Boston Music Awards in 2022 and 2023 as a “Best Country Artist;” he has been featured in numerous publications including The Boston Globe, NPR, and The Boston Herald; he has twice been nominated as “Best Male Artist” by the New England Awards; and he has received radio airplay and press coverage throughout the world.
