Volunteering is a great way for teens to get involved in the community while earning service hours. WAVE (Westborough Awesome Volunteer Experience) members contribute to a wide variety of projects throughout the year, including planning and running library events, creating displays and social media content, organizing materials, brainstorming new ideas, and supporting special programs. Whether you’re creative, organized, or simply looking to make a difference, there’s a place for you in WAVE.

WAVE is open to students in grades 9–12. To join, interested teens should email Jen at [email protected] to express their interest. Because WAVE is designed to help teens build leadership skills and independence, we ask that all inquiries come directly from the teen. It’s also a great way for teens to demonstrate their own interest and commitment to becoming a volunteer. WAVE members attend meetings throughout the year that count toward volunteer service hours while providing opportunities to collaborate with other teens, develop leadership skills, and help shape library programs and services for the community.
